4. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Technician Grade I Signal: Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/IT/Instrumentation OR a 3-year Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in relevant engineering streams.
• Technician Grade III: Matriculation (Class 10th) plus ITI from recognized institutions (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade. For some specific categories, 10+2 with Physics and Maths is also accepted.

Experience

No prior work experience is mandatory for these entry-level technical positions.

5. Age Limit (As of July 01, 2024)

The Railway Board has provided a 3-year age relaxation beyond the prescribed limit as a one-time measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Technician Grade I Signal: 18 to 36 years
• Technician Grade III: 18 to 33 years

Note: Age relaxation applies to SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwBD candidates as per government norms.

6. Salary / Pay Scale

The selected candidates will receive a salary as per the 7th CPC (Central Pay Commission) pay matrix:

8. Selection Process
